Terms & Conditions – Creature Cottage

 

1. Applicability

These terms apply to all offers, agreements, and deliveries by Creature Cottage. By placing an order, the buyer agrees to these terms.

2. Orders & Payment

Orders are finalized upon payment.

Accepted payment methods: PayPal, Ko-Fi, Bank Transfer, iDeal, etc.

Prices are in EUR (Euros).

Incomplete/incorrect payments may result in order cancellation.

3. Delivery & Shipping

International shipping via [PostNL/DHL/etc.].

Delivery times are estimates, not strict deadlines (due to handmade production).

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

The customer is responsible for providing the correct address; incorrect details may incur additional fees.

4. Returns & Cancellations

Handmade/custom products (e.g., fursuits) cannot be returned unless there’s a manufacturing defect.

Cancellations before shipping receive a full refund, unless the product is customized to the buyer’s design.

Shipping damage must be reported within 14 days with photo evidence.

5. Liability – Extended Provisions

5.1. General Liability Limitations
Creature Cottage is not liable for:

Damage from misuse (e.g., falls, collisions, or accidents due to limited visibility in masks).

Allergic reactions to materials (unless sold as hypoallergenic).

Damage from natural wear & tear or improper care (e.g., washing at incorrect temperatures).

Indirect damages (lost profits, emotional distress, etc.).

5.2. Handmade Products & Minor Imperfections

Fursuits and masks are handmade. Minor variations in color, texture, or finish are not grounds for returns/compensation.

5.3. Third-Party Modifications

No liability for:

 

Damage from alterations/repairs by third parties.

Use of non-original parts (e.g., replaced eye screens or linings).

 

5.4. Events & Professional Use

For commercial use (events, theme parks, professional costumes):

Buyer must ensure safety checks (fire safety, visibility in dark areas).

Professional advice is recommended for heavy use.

5.5. Children & Pets

Products are not tested on animals. Damage from pets (bites/scratches) is not covered.

For children under 10: adult supervision required.

5.6. Legal Basis

Liability is always limited to the product’s purchase price.

6. Intellectual Property

All designs (except buyer-submitted designs) remain property of Creature Cottage unless agreed otherwise.

Commercial use requires prior permission.

7. Privacy

Personal data is used only for order processing and complies with GDPR/EU privacy laws.

Data is never sold to third parties.

8. Miscellaneous

Disputes fall under Dutch law.

Updated terms take effect immediately upon online publication.

9. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers Only)

 

14-day withdrawal period starts the day after product receipt.

Exceptions: Custom/personalized items (e.g., fursuit heads) are excluded unless agreed otherwise.
Withdrawal Process:

Notify via email within 14 days.

Return the product unused, undamaged, and in original packaging within 14 days of withdrawal.

Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the return.
Costs:

Buyer covers return shipping.

Refunds may be reduced for damage/missing parts.

10. Safety & Usage Warnings

 

Fursuits and accessories are for cosplay/recreational use only.
Not suitable for:

Safety gear (motorcycling, sports, fall protection).

Swimming/water activities (unless labeled water-resistant).

Extreme temperatures (heat/open flames or freezing conditions).

Respiratory protection (no oxygen filtration/gas/dust protection).
Use at your own risk:

Creature Cottage is not liable for injuries from misuse.

Be aware of visibility limits in masks when moving/dancing.
